Kai-hua Cheng received her degree in illustration from L’École supérieure des arts décoratifs de Strasbourg, France. There, she developed a deep passion for storytelling through art, seen in her illustrations for We, But Me (Noodle Pixels & Press, 2019) and Mon Imagier Chinois (Hikari, 2019).

Classical illustration techniques further inform Kai-hua’s work in other media including painting, sculpting, digital art, and needle-felting. She is a versatile artist who works in a wide range of media and styles.

Kai-hua is also a visual designer who has worked for tech companies large and small. Originally from Taiwan, she now calls the Bay area home, where she lives with her husband, son, and dog Milo. She is available for commissions.
